Is there some kind of program that I could buy or down load that would simply let me make a collage of 2 or 3 photos along with some text. I did pay to download Correl's collage template but that seems to be limited and wants me to pay to download more. But, none of them seem to really have a collage function. I have Photoshop Elements, Sony Picture Motion browser, Lightroom 5 and Corel Paint Pro on my computer. However, this year we have decided that everyone will email photos to me and I am to combine them as a collage together with a Merry Christmas text greeting. In the past, I always took a group photo of all the kids in our family and that became our digital Christmas card. Due to enhanced Covid 19 lock downs our extended family will not be able to have our traditional Christmas gathering. Export it as a JPEG (or TIFF or PNG or whatever-even a PDF), and if you want, save the new creation in GIMP's native format for later editing. You can add text with the fairly powerful / flexible text tool, which will leave you with an editable text layer for each caption. Basically, just make a new file / canvas at whatever total size you want, open each photo you want to include, scale it to whatever size makes it right relative to the canvas, copy it, paste it onto the canvas as a new layer, use the move tool to place it where you want, and repeat. You can download the latest version from. GIMP is certainly quite capable of building collages-I've done just that many times-and it's free (open-source).
